Hi everyone! I'm writing you about this post: I'd like to thank all who answered the questionnaire and announce that I'll close its link by the end of December/beginning of January. The last season is almost here (ARGGGH!) and it's time for fase 2: data analysis.
I'll be back when everything is done to share results and news! :)
Once again, thanks to everyone and if there's still someone out there who hasn't shared their theories, I'd be very happy to receive more questionnaires (here)! ;)

So I've decided to write about my store's last two months of existence.
I don't know when it was built but it's been around since the 50s. I just learned about it back in 2007 when I worked for RGIS Inventory. My girlfriend at the time had to tell me where it was. "Right next to the Farmer Jack we go to!" Well Farmer Jack went out of business in July of that year. Anyway, I did the inventory for that store among other JCPenney locations and decided I would apply there. They hired me right away and I took it, even though I had an interview at the mall store.
http://dotcomslash.livejournal.com/2 007/10/17/
So, the store closes on December 30, 2010. Which is Saturday of Week 52 of the fiscal year or whatever. Which makes sense to me, but others think they should have stayed open through the end of the lease, which I can't remember. April of either 2010 or 2011 I think.
It's funny, some employees predicted that the store would close when the lease was up because it was also around the time the manager of our store could retire.
Liquidation begins December 7, the typical eight weeks before closing. And I still don't know a damn thing. I thought hours would be cut, but I have 32 hours that week. I guess company sales/prices will be cut, but I have not heard if we are going to stop taking returns or stop getting new merchandise in, and I haven't heard about being transferred.
So I may use this space in the next two months to jot down anything, everything or absolutely nothing about work. haha. So be prepared.

I wanted nothing more than to catch up with you guys but we are so busy! The last day at my dad's we went to the Memphis Zoo and to Graceland. we drove by gracelanda nd didn't spend that much time at the zoo (although we did get sort of forcefully pushed out of the zoo at closing.... we tried to stay for the Xmas thing but didn't want to pay extra!) but it was fun! my dad had problems with his house so we spent the morning waiting for him to make sure everything was OK for him to leave. We thought Landon would fall asleep in the car on the way to Memphis but we were mistaken (he actually fell asleep the second we got into the car to go home from the zoo.)

go find his name on Elvis's wall and I'll give you... a big pat on the back! GRAFFITI FTW!!!!!
( a few under the cut! )

Okay, so I'm doing another Friends Cut. Simply because I have 41 people that have me on their flist and I DNW them on mine. It just gets rather annoying. So, here are all the people that I have ever cut. If you find yourself on this list--please let me know if you have a problem. And I will let you know what it is. If you feel I made a mistake, please let me know.
I'm worried about you,
dynamitekris , not sure where you are but it's freakin' me out and I miss you a lot! I'm not going to cut you because you are so amazing. But please let me know if you can what's up. =] Thanks. ♥ you.

Frank,
My father, who I was very close to, passed away when I was 21 very suddenly and unexpectedly. 2 years later I met the man of my dreams and could not imagine getting married without my dad there.
To this day, whenever anyone asks me who walked me down the aisle the true and honest answer is: "My dad did".

Maybe someone else out there will find this to be a small comfort during the sadness of not having their dad.

Until recently, I thought the saying was "Devil make hair." I'm 25. I think I like my version better.

it was "a Wayne in a manger." I didn't realize it was really Jesus in there.

Dear Frank,
Sunday I was with my boyfriend (we are both young Christians). I grabbed his laptop to go to the postsecret website. As I typed in the postsecret address the computer filled in the url with a pornography website.
I used my boyfriend's laptop again to look up postsecret and the computer filled in the url with recently visited sites about pre and post nuptial agreements.
In my attempts to read other people's secrets, I discovered his.

To the person who thinks couple-dom is a big secret. It isn't. Too scared to be alone, I was in a couple in some way for 16 years and I always felt like I was faking. I was jealous of my single friends who had the strength not to settle like I did.

My acne keeps getting incresingly worse. Usually around fall/winter it clears up, but it's so much worse than it's been in years. I was in Europe for 3 months and I thought the climate change and such was the reason I was breaking out more. And since I've been home it's gotten so terrible.
I honestly don't have any money, so I can't afford to go to a doctor or be on any pills. I've tried changing my diet and nothing seems to be helping. I use benzyol peroxide twice a day, and I use a clay mask once a week.
I feel absolutely disgusting and I've had acne for 7 years. I thought when you were in your 20's you weren't supposed to have acne!
Does anyone have any tips that will help, or maybe any suggestions on why you think it's gotten so bad. Could I be allergic to something? I just don't understand! gah!

Needed a place to put this so I don't forget what I did...
Brine:
4 gallons (guestimation) of water
3-4 cups salt (maybe 3.5 cups. All I know is the raw egg floated, so we're good)
3 cups of granulated sugar
1 cup brown sugar
1 Tbsp Thyme
1 Tbsp Basil
1 Tbsp Rosemary
1 Tbsp Cinnamon
1/2 Tbsp of dried minced garlic (unsure... I just shook it in)
1/2 tsp pepper
Crush/mix herbs and pepper (not garlic) in a separate bowl and then pour into mix of water, salt and sugar. Add garlic and stir. Add turkey!
11.82 lb turkey
Pumpkin spice cupcakes:
1 can (15 oz) pumpkin
1 Spice cake mix
3 eggs
1/3 cup water
1/3 cup vegetable oil
*added last minute some cinnamon, ginger, and a tiny tiny splash of nutmeg to the second batch. If this tastes good, it should really be 1/2 tsp cinnamon, 1/2 tsp ginger, and 1/4 tsp allspice for the whole mix.
Bake for 22 minutes at 350.

In the 14th century, Dante Alighieri gave the world a glimpse into Hell. But, like medieval Florence and everything around it, Hell has changed, and unlike Earth not necessarily for the better. However even across the span of centuries some things remain steadfast – the despair is tantamount, the torture ironic, pity is scarce, reprieve impossible – Abandon all hope ye who enter here. This is a literature and live-action panfandom RPG that takes character torture to a whole new level. I love Elizabeth in this interview, she is so relaxed and almost giddy about her work. Elizabeth talks the finale, her theories and a little bit about next season.
