The turnout was small, but I kind of figured that was going to happen. That's why they are doing this anyway. They are trying to spread the message and correct information! I was the first to arrive with a child, actually. The second mother that arrived was wearing a shirt that said, "I make milk. What's your superpower?" I've seen that in icon form, but not on a shirt. Her baby looked familiar. Like I've seen him in
nouglybabies or something. I wouldn't be surprised. Anyhow, she got her shirt from www.granolathreads.com. I'm going to check it out.
Ha..."Soft clothes for crunchy people." Nice. I'm not "crunchy," but whatever. I still liked the shirt. :D
The walk wasn't much of a walk. We walked about half a mile tops. Courtney and I talked about breastfeeding the whole entire time. I was hoping some women would eavesdrop at least. One woman did walk past us who was pregnant. She even had her ultrasound pictures in her hands! I hope she got some information somewhere. She and her S.O. looked very happy.
Oh! Landon and I are going to be in the newspaper. HA! The Walton Reporter. At least they had one newspaper there. I don't even want to know what the picture will look like, but I'm hoping to grab an issue anyway. It was hot and humid out, and my hair was pulled back. Oh well. That's not what's important. I like that people will know Landon is still breastfed at 15 1/2 months. :) I am not ashamed.
The setup was nice. They had a lot of healthy snacks and drinks out. I took some sort of milk challenge. Some woman took a picture of me doing that, too. I'm a star! No, I'm kidding. But a lot of pictures were taken. Mostly because Landon is 2QT! ;) I was hoping to get some decent pictures, but that didn't happen. However, Landon managed to snap about three blurry pictures of a red balloon. :D They were handing out red balloons and gold ribbons. I also got a free cooler bag. Yay! I really wish I could have been involved in something like this earlier on, but as I said, I'm glad I could participate in this before our move.

1. Landon ate all of his dinner (spaghetti) without throwing any on the floor. I almost cried I was so happy/proud. And then I took a picture of his cute, messy face. He's been so fun today. He's turning into such the big boy right before my very eyes.
